pea family photos

More Colorado fun! Papa D was teaching the young pea-dawans his wise fishing ways.

I was going for something à la Andy Griffith.

Our Colorado trip was so fun. Here's a little pea-k at what you missed!

Setting up camp!

We were right by the bathroom, which apparently deserved a "this rocks" sign!

Our view from the camper. Oh yeah!

Our campsite. :)

It was nap time.

Hanging out!

Vallecito Lake. It was gorgeous!

They weren't quite brave enough to get in.

Ta-da!

More of our beautiful view.

We found an awesome stump thingy!

I could not get enough of the view.

You may, however, get sick of looking at pics of the views. :)

Skipping rocks.

Playing marbles. It's a Barrett tradition.

I think Nina Pea is winning.

Could you wake up to this every day?

There was a tiny bit of snow left!

I wish the pictures did the view justice.

I only got a pic of this dog because it was a Phoebe look-a-like. We miss our sweet Phoebs!

It was a little chilly in the mornings.

The girls had to squeeze in one more game of marbles before we went into Durango.

Abby Pea

Anne Pea

This is where we had lunch. Yummy beer.

Downtown Durango

It was a little hazy/smoky from the containment fires.

There were bikes every where!

New specs for the girlie peas!

It was like pulling teeth to get this crappy pea-cture. They really did not want to cooperate.

Those tiny trees.

At the second campsite, we had to get water the hard way.

It took Anne Pea and me both to fill the jug. We didn't waste any water after that!

On a small hike to the nearby river, East Fork.

Abby Pea was  almost ready to get in the frigid water.

Anne Pea stayed dry. Just like her momma.

She did make it to the other side without getting too wet.

Papa D tried tossing her in!

So pretty!

Papa D was in his element. I think I have the mountain gene in me, too!

She got a little wet. This time.

My battle scar. :)

She did get all the way in this time! Hair and everything!

Brrr...that water was cold!

Pea-ce out!

Cute little, Mammy-sized camper!

Anne Pea, ready to get her fishing on!

This is our "Before" photo. Before a long hike up the mountain.

Some of the view on our way.

Break time! This was about halfway.

You know I'm a tree hugger! I was completely in my element. I had no stress, no anxiety, and had a smile on my face the whole time. I loved every minute of it!

Abby Pea hiked with her Nina the whole way.

Hello there, random stranger way up the mountain trail.

And Random's son.

The "After" photo. We did it! :)
3.5 miles and about 1,000 feet up in elevation.

River at the top of our trail. I had a lot more photos but used Dad's old camera. I didn't want to lose mine in the river! :)
Hopefully, I can post some of Dad and the girlie peas fishing soon.

After the hike, camper pedis were in order.

Abby Pea and I joined Anne Pea and Nina. Nice way to end a camping trip!

We went a couple of weeks ago to HC for what I thought would be a small family get together. Well, small and family don't go in the same sentence when you're speaking of the Barretts! My adorable nieces were there, so I was camera ready! :)

~Warning:  Cuteness ahead.~

We had a blast with sidewalk chalk. I had to add some of my own artwork. :)

Is this not the cutest, most carefree picture of my girlie pea?

Some cool artwork.

Batman rules, fo sho!

They were catching "butterflies!" (Imaginary ones.)

She caught one! You have to be very careful with it.

And let it go!

I love baby feet. Even big baby feet!

Most beautiful girls on the planet!

A pic with every grandgirl.

Ignore the hand. :)

She loved the grass!

Sweet Preslee Pea! And Kaley! She's a sweet pea, too. :)

Such a big girlie pea on her bicycle!

She found a soft leaf!

Rylee Pea!

She was showing us how she goes underwater in her swim lessons.

Little Pea Skylynn!

Another sweet pea, Kinley!

And another! Little Logan!

Suzy Pea loves her grandbabies!

~Yes, our family is full of little blessings! It's so neat to watch them grow up!~

Christmastime was chaotic, wonderful, and full of many blessings! I loved our travels all over the country (almost, maybe, not quite!), but is it okay to be glad to be home? Here are just a few of the many highlights from December! And a tad of January. :)

Casey Pea wanted a picture that didn't make his face look fat. It's the best I could do, buddy!

Rylee Pea is such a smart girl! She won playing her new game!

Preslee Pea!! Sweet niece!

Rylee Pea showing off her pea-j's and slippers! Christmas with little peas is so much fun!

Preslee Pea and her many gifts! She was quite enthralled! (And I love her little hair sticking up! Just made her so much cuter!)

New Year's/Christmas morning at Nina and Pea-pa D's! I promised I wouldn't post any pics of us looking terrible, but this one is just so darn cute!

Who wouldn't love that sweet face!

Jake Pea was taking cues from Bunny!

Grandpea opening his leather from Pea-ula. He also got a leather sewing machine. Can't wait to see the cool things he will make! The Penprase's are such awesome artisans! I think they get it from Jack Pea!

Abby Pea trying on her loot!

Our Pea Family!

Love Abby Pea's jewelry! Aunt Vicki is so talented!

Anne Pea showing off her beautiful earrings that Aunt Vicki Pea made!

She kept asking for more gifts! She just liked to open them all!

Kylie Pea was such a sweetie!

I'm surprised no one drowned in all the wrapping paper!

Jake Pea opening gifts!

I love this expression! Kolby Pea must have gotten something good in his stocking!

Grandpa and Paula Pea's tree! With lots of pea-resents under it!

See? I told you Bunny Pea stole the show! She's quite the photogenic little doggie!

My pretty peas at Chattanooga Choo-Choo!

Bunny Pea got him back though!

You can see that Anne Pea is thrilled with her Dad!

Once we arrived in Tennessee, Jon got a new girlfriend! That's Bunny Pea! She's a show stealer!

Taking a bow! I know the recital pictures aren't super. It's hard getting photos when you can't use flash and you're not supposed to be taking them in the first place! :)

Final pose! She's the one in the impossible looking pose!

Mirlitons and Marzipan! This is the most difficult part of The Nutcracker and Abby Pea was amazing!

She was in the Snow portion of The Nutcracker. Such a beautiful pea-llerina!

Abby Pea in her lyrical dance at the Christmas recital. Yes, that's her in the air!

I love it when I get the chance to take photos of sweet peas when I least expect it. That's why it's important to always have the camera handy! My sweet cousin has two sweet peas. Karson Pea is a little harder to catch (he's three), but Kynlee Pea had no choice! It's easiest to get them when they can't run away! Here's our little photo shoot. If the wind had not been blowing 200 mph (you only think I'm exaggerating) I would have gotten some outside, which is always may favorite place to take pics!

Anne Pea is such a natural with kid peas and baby peas! They were peas in a pod this day!

Kynlee Pea's sweet feet! She is the tiniest little pea I think I've ever seen! Even tinier than my Abby Peas was when she was a baby!

LauRie Pea (my cousin) and Kynlee Pea. Sweet kisses!

Daddy Pea (Mitchell) and sweet baby! I think this is precious!

Drop it like it's hot, drop it like it's hot!

Anne Pea had some rad bangs!

This is not Halloween. This is how they normally dress. ;)

Of course the serene photo from below could only last for so long!

Mid-October and the girlie peas are swimming in the lake! The weather was beautiful!

Three at once!

Hot air balloons are really popular around here in September/October! They were around just about everyday!

Anne Pea's 13th birthday! We had so much fun! And she had a super cute cake!

Anne Pea and her cross country teammates!

Anne Pea's first cross country meet! I take lots of pics of her at these because she can't hide from me!

Anne Pea posed for me only because I blackmailed her! I told her to get a ride to her school dance, she had to let me take pics!

I wish my Anne Pea was as happy to take photos as my Abby Pea! We had an awesome photo shoot in Cloudcroft!

I love this picture of my Dad pea and my daughter pea!

Rylee Pea is becoming quite the comedienne!

She's such a good little poser pea! She even has her super model pout down! Love it!

I got to sneak away and visit these sweet peas one day! Rylee is being so sweet! Preslee looks a tad terrified!

Sweet Preslee Pea! She was smiling for Nina!

It's a miracle we're all together! Lots of sweet peas here!

Granny's 80th birthday! Our second party this summer! She had so many friends and family members to celebrate with her!

She also loves "Ma milk!"

Rylee is such a good big sister! She loves her Preslee Pea!

Sleepy, sweetie pea!

Now there are *FOUR* girlie peas in the family!

We love and miss Sweet Rylee Pea so much!

Granny with her newest great-granddaughter! She loves all her baby peas!

My favoritest husband on the planet!

My favoritest pea-ple on the planet!

The beautiful, er handsome, Freidell family! We love them! These boys are the best and get along so well with our peas! I don't know if that's because they are like a couple of 12-14 year old girls or if my girls are like a couple of college aged boys. Not sure I want the answer to that dilemma; I'm just so hap-pea they get along so well!

G.G. Pea had the most wonderful surprise party for her 80th birthday! I was so blessed to meet a lot of Jon's family that I had never met before! It was awesome!

Fourth of July in McKinney! Abby and I spent the day downtown with our cute parade! Anne was at tennis camp at Texas Tech. We missed her, but she loves going to camp with Coach Siegel!

I love this picture of my beautiful daughters and niece! I can't wait to have many more with Preslee Pea!

Abby Pea at her Spring Recital! She was beautiful, as always!

Papa D and Nina were happy to have their peas in town for Easter. I think this is the week King Pea got a new truck because of this trip! :)

The three most beautiful peas in the world! At least, until the little bun in the oven came along!

I know they had an awesome time together. I hope it was a special evening for the two of them. I'll never know exactly what happened that night, and that's okay! I pray my girls keep an awesome relationship with Daddy Pea!

This was the night before her 14th birthday (crap, she's 14 already)! She had a date with her Daddy Pea. He took her to a fancy restaurant and treated her the way her future dates should treat her.

Abby Pea's first school dance! Her sister beat her to this milestone, but I don't think Big Sister Pea minded too much!

I don't think there's anything our Granny Bear loves more than all of her "kids!" She has many, many blessings!

Rylee Pea loves her Rice Krispy Treats! And Granny Bear loves our Rylee!

We had quite a bit of snow in early 2011! Bbbbrrrrr!

More family photos! This time with our Mammy Pea and G.G. Pea!

Christmastime with the family! Gosh, we're all so pretty!

Anne Pea was heading to her first band concert. Sister Pea couldn't let her have all of the attention!

Thanksgiving with the Freidell's was so fun! I love our family!

Papa D and Rylee Pea watching the MHS Homecoming parade!

Anne Pea's 12th birthday with Addy Pea! And Mom and Pop's Candy Shop! Yum!

I am so happy I got a picture of Grandpa Pea with his eyes open! I wish they lived closer so we could see them all the time!

My peas just got back from Tennessee! I missed them like crazy!

On the last day of school in Ada, Anne Pea's fifth grade year, she and Reed were Outstanding Students of the Year! Both were in Ms. Haye's class. She did something right! So proud of these peas!

This was the Pea's moving away fiesta! All of their friends showed up for one last ole'!

My peas after Abby Pea's dance recital. Her last one in Ada!

Pea-stor George and Anne Pea at her baptism right before we moved from Ada. We miss our FUMC in Ada!

Anne Pea is showing off her track medals! She's an awesome runner and a great long jumper! And a not-so-shabby tennis player!

Abby Pea was student of the month!

I love old shacks! I found one with a great hole in it!

Abby Pea in the bluebonnets

Anne Pea in the most beautiful bluebonnets

Easter Sunday, 2010

Abby Pea's 13th birthday at Mammy Pea's house!

I think this is a catch Papa D and Grandpa can be proud of!

I love this pea-cture of LauRie and Karson! It was overexposed, but I think they look so cute!

Three peas!

Pea-ka-boo!

Miss Rylee Pea! My sweet niece!

My beautiful pea-llerina!

Georgia likes to give tongue baths. Ew!
